This workshop will guide you step-by-step through the creation of a cover letter. Tips will be offered on how to create a positive, lasting impression with employers. Those students applying to the positions associated with the Nonprofit Career Fair Interviews on February 19, 2010 are strongly encouraged to attend.

Julian Prokopetz graduated from Yale University in 2009 with a degree in Political Science and has since been working in Boston, MA with Environment America, a federation of state-based, citizen-funded environmental advocacy organizations that work to protect the nation's air, water, and open spaces. As the Energy Program Associate, Prokopetz's role is to help develop and coordinate campaigns at the local, state, and federal level to encourage policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. He first interviewed for the position during the 2009 Yale Nonprofit Career Fair, and Environment America will be back on campus conducting interviews at this year's fair on February 19. Every year UCS offers guided tours of Arts related venues during the academic year or as part of its Summer Series. This spring we will be offering several tours in New Haven. Each event will consist of a guided tour of the facility, a presentation, and a question and answer session. Pre-registration is required to participate in these events. Registration opens January 6, 2010. Note: these tours are not recruiting events, but career exploration opportunities. CANCELLATION POLICY: Students who register should consider the importance of this commitment as well as the effort set forth by the participating parties. Failure to attend two registration-required events without 24 hour notification may result in a loss of privilege to participate in further registration-required events.
