Coffee Cup Conversation: Taylor Krauss, Video Journalist

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Location: UCS Library

As a video journalist, Krauss has worked for various media networks including the Associated Press, BBC, PBS, CNN, and HBO, among others. He trained under Ken Burns while working as an associate producer on the seven-part series "The War," about the American experience during the second World War. Krauss has worked on numerous human rights films on subjects ranging from refugee issues, healthcare, illegal immigration, sexual violence, global human smuggling and trafficking, and the genocide in Darfar. He is currently the Executive Director of "Voices of Rwanda," a non-profit organization dedicated to filming and perserving testimonies of Rwandans who were eyewitnesses to the 1994 genocide. He grew up in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from Yale University in 2002 with a degree in Film Studies.

10th Annual Nonprofit Career Fair

The Nonprofit Career Fair offers the chance to learn about and connect with approximately 50 nonprofit organizations. Employers will be offering internships, full-time positions, or year-of-service opportunities. This is an excellent way to practice networking skills. This year Yale is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Nonprofit Career Fair. To celebrate, UCS has invited nonprofit employers to interview students the day of the fair for job and internship positions. A list of participating employers is located on the UCS website under Career Fairs. The list will indicate which employers are participating in the interview process.
