Coffee Cup Conversation: Sarah Smith '03, Co-Chair and Co-Founder, GirlSportsWork, Cusco Peru

Sarah, along with Yale track teammate Becky Rauth, founded a non-profit organization called GirlSportWorks that teaches life skills to girls through athletics in Peru. She raised funds to support the company, and moved to Cusco, Peru for one year to launch the program. Now in its sixth year of operation, GSW has taught over 600 students in seven schools in the Cusco region. Sarah serves as President of the company, managing recruitment and hiring of Project Managers, fund raising, board relations, and financial management.
